Pierce worked just as hard! It has nothing to do with being good. He admitted on tv he kicked his own teammates in the face practicing this move! That's putting other kids at risk! He admitted he knew what he did was wrong but refs rarely call it so he took the chance! He took the chance of hurting someone badly and by knowing good and well it was illegal and admitting to it that makes him a cheater! He should not be glorified or put in a pedistal for behavior like that!

Missing the call live is one thing, but to mid it sheet the protest made us the laughing stock in the nation. It's a simple rule to apply. Instead of saying they were caught in the moment, which is ready to have happen in high pressure moments. They made up a physics defying excuse to how the flip happened.... Do the right thing since we failed that day!

I sincerely hope that this matter is taken seriously. This could have been a catastrophic day!

Eddie deserves it he worked very hard for it. Also the move he did was on a higher lever an if you think that being to good is a problem. Then there's a problem

It was but the refs stood by there decision and this idiot walked away with the state title.

This looks terrifyingly dangerous, I would be so worried if that was my kid that didn't choose to do the backflip, I see that breaking a lot of necks and/or potentially paralyzing wrestlers.

It's illegal both boys are very lucky we have to make sure this never happens again!!! Specially when he admits to doing it and getting away with it it's so wrong in so many ways!!

Illegal moves should not be glorified. There are rules against certain moves to protect BOTH wrestlers.

Illegal move, no different than locking hands or full Nelson, should not have been awarded the win

this manuver is against the rules plain and simple there should at least be a wrestle off im so glad that there were no serious injuries to either wrestler

How are we suppose to teach our kids to play by the rules if they rules are not enforced???

Brandon, look at where people are posting from. For example, I'm from Colorado dumbass. People can just tell that the wrong call was made and Daniel, is a cheater and a pothead who should have never been allowed to wrestle. You don't want to support the petition than don't comment.

My two sons wrestled. My eldest has a life long neck injury from such a wrestling maneuver.

I fully support Pierce on this. I was there mat side and it was clear that his opponent did a back flip I even took photo's of the match.
