I genuinely hope the two time state champ is finally able to if anything share the 2016 113 4a state championship title.

The move is illegal for a reason and just because the ref didn't call it in the moment doesn't make the move any less illegal

The refs should have called this. Was illegal and ended with a state championship by an illegal move.thats not right at all

As a parent of two boys who wrestle, safety of all athletes involved is very important to me. We also would like to see fairness in the sport and rules upheld.

If he knew it was illegal and practiced it anyway. He should lose the title and the coaches should be looked into. As in wether or not the knew he was practicing it

An illegal is an illegal hold whether a full nelson or a backflip the wrestler should have been penalized for an illegal hold

This is why we make rules to abide by them for the safety and surety of these kids

This has nothing to do with Peirce! This is parents pissed off that an very dangerous illegall move was done. And allowed by officials. And I would hope that if this happened to Eddie then his parents and community members would do the same. Obviously your extremely ignorant because this is about safety of the kids. The ref shouldn't have a job for allowing this. Plus Pierce would never do it because he has integrity and he is not a cheater! Nor does he do drugs! This page is for supporters so go crawl back into your little hole because anyone who has seen the video knows what a cheating dishonest person the Minico coaches and Eddie are!

Minico coaches were telling him to flip, it's on video. Scott did catch it and challenged but the refs didn't want to look like they didn't know what they were doing so they let it stand.

A ref should know the game, if not, don't be a referee. Both coaches should have caught that too.

I played varsity sports when I was at Boise High School. I always expected to compete fairly and safely. Integrity in sport is as important as practice and determination. Allowing this so called athlete, his coaches, and the referees to get away with this call, at any time regardless of a State title undermines the integrity of sport and the effort of honest athlete around the State. I am currently raising my own three boys in a variety of sports. I expect them to compete when they get into high school. I hope that I can count on the high school athletic association to ensure safety and integrity when they get there. As of right now I have my doubts.

Rules are rules. If the refs don't enforce them how can you expect the kids to follow them?

The icing on the cake woulda been to finish him with a mckenzitine choke.

I'm sure he is a talented wrestler but has no class, integrity or honesty. I think the problem efrain is that he practiced an illegal move in practice....which he admitted too then admitted to doing it hoping the refs would let it slide because he'd seen it happen before....big problem and definitely not deserving of a state championship.

What part of illegal is so difficult to understand? I don't care how many backflips he can do they are illegal in high school wrestling. Bad call on the refs part, how can you even protest that?
