Please make the right decision here and keep our athletes safe. We need to make sure backflips are not used during practice or matches!

Keep our kids safe. The risk of injury is the reason this type of move is considered illegal.

Stick to wrestling

Coaches know the move is illegal and dangerous...they should have to pay a fine and maybe a suspension or two.

Sports are important for our youth--they teach discipline, sacrifice, and pride for the team. We must do our part and keep them safe.

I think the safety of the wrestlers needs to be address--some moves are illegal for that reason!

Win lose or draw, 2 things need to be addressed here. 1.) Referee accountability regarding potentially dangerous/illegal moves. Had a wrestler been injured, you can bet the correct call would have been made in an effort to 'CYA'. A referee's #1 priority should always be wrestler safety. It should NEVER get to that point. 2.) The Minico coaching staff need to be thoroughly investigated and reprimanded . This back flip wasn't an accident... The coaches were yelling at Mr Daniel to execute the move (per captured audio/video), no doubt lending to the fact that the move was trained in their wrestling room. Furthermore, Mr Daniel admitted to knowingly executing the illegal move. While the move was extremely athletic,it was illegal none the less, with some serious moral, honor, and integrity issues at hand. I urge whomever may read and have influence to give this it's due attention... Idaho wrestling is better than this, and every wrestler to come deserves it.

Oh and as I read this I see you say the coaches didn't know? So your saying you practiced unsupervised? More good coaching qualities! Please keep going because your only making your wrestling program look worse then it already does. So yes please continue PLEASE!

Oh dear Eddie your the ignorant one that went on local tv and admitted to doing this move during practices. You admitted to knowing it was wrong. So your the stupid one. Is this bothering you so much you keep commenting? Or is the guilt of what you did eating you up? Cheaters never win and as parents we will make sure that everyone in this nation knows what a a cheater you are. And for you to laugh about kicking your own teammates in the face is sad. If I was their parents and saw this is have your head. Minico must not teach their kids well. Maybe bad parenting!

Do the right thing, protect the kids, stop making this about who should have won and hold the adults accountable for allowing a potential disaster to happen. Put your ego at the door and do the right thing for all the athletes.

This is not about winning or losing, this petition is about safety. Yes this would have been brought up no matter who took the title!

Any move that endangers an athlete should be called. Why do we have these Rules if they are not followed or enforced

Plain and simple the move was illegal and the newspaper interview the kids said that he knew it was illegal but the refugees don't call it. Not to mention the coach was teaching this at practice!!!

Rules and regulations are there for the safety of the wrestlers and should be followed.
