Employees at the Dining Hall deserve free meals for the amount of work they have to do.

The quantity of food that gets wasted each shift can easily feed the stomachs of hungry student staff !

i was an employee for years there and can't believe they are making such a negative change. That was the biggest highlight of working for the dining hall!

I feel all employees of the dining services should receive a free meal when they are working.... I am appalled that the new management took that away and they THROW the left over food away at the end of the night....... As a parent of a student at the college that I have paid her tuition, housing, car, insurance, food and everything else....WHO made the decision to take the free meal away ?????

Mr. Don Penrod,
I will admit that I am current employee with 49er shops and understand the attempt to equalize benefits for all 49er shop employees. However, the current discount on books - just like the meals - is absurd. When the semester began, I looked into numerous places to purchase my textbooks from. Sadly, bookstore was the last on my list. The price of USED RENTED textbook from the bookstore - with the discount - was still $20 more than what I would've paid on Amazon - with taxes and shipping. The new benefits in places aren't really benefits, for anyone. I do hope you reconsider the new policies in place; having the old benefits is what set apart the 49er shops from other companies.

is not fair to attempt to make a profit off employees. It is not fair that we pay 85% of the price for a 'all you care to eat' meal when we only have 15 minutes to eat. It is not fair to have your employees pay one hour of their work salary to eat when you and your family come in to eat for free Don Penrod. You can not simply wait for those employees that remember our free meal to leave, word spreads and we will make sure future employees know how little you care.

This issue needs to be addressed. The institution is robbing their own student employees.

They deserve a free meal paying 9 bucks for food and you only make 9 an hour means you've been cut short one hour and you're now working for less

This school should be embarrassed to treat their workers so poorly especial with the amount of money it cost to attend.

Please support your student employees. They are hardworking and struggling. For many, this employee meal is their ONLY real meal of the day. It's a tough economy for all of us. College costs have risen substantially. Families are struggling to put their kids through college. Please give us your support and restore free employee meals. Thank you.
