As a pediatric PT I can say that the physical activity that your son gets from this riding track can only benefit his general well being & health. I hope that your family & the town can come to some resolution on this matter that will allow you to keep the track. Best of Luck!

I have been racing box for over 25 yrs. It's a great sport to be involved in and it's nice to see the younger generation getting into the sport as well. The parents I have known for many years and it's awesome to see how involved they are in the sport for their children. Instead of the kids getting into trouble or getting into drugs like most of long island kids these parents took it a step further to build them their own track at the house. Shoreham box is not open 24/7 365 for the public to ride. So where do these young kids go to practice. Now where else in the island is dedicated for them. So again what better than to build a practice track at your own house. Kudos to the parents. Btw bmx is an Olympic sport so we very well could have to future Olympian. The town they live in needs to worry more about bigger problems then this!

The only thing...as a landscaper...that should concern the town with a corner lot is overgrown trees, shrubbery what have you, that could block a driver from making a turn at that intersection. We live in the land of no. Let kids be kids.

They should be able to do what they want on there property and it keeping the kids out of trouble would u rather them end up heroin addicts and robbing ur houses. Or bmx champions??? Do not let this get taken down it’s a discgrace to freedom and America as well as to these kids trying to train for a sport where there’s no where to train for!

No one should have to explain what they’re doing with their own property especially to a town that steals tens of thousands of dollars a year from it’s residence it taxs.
