Isnt it the goal of the town and parents a like to keep kids OFF the streets? That's exactly what they are doing by making a bicycle track on THEIR OWN property!! These kids are using their time PRODUCTIVELY in a healthy way by engaging in a sport they are good at and enjoy in an environment where they are far more safe. The alternative is the kids riding in the streets where visibility is limited due to the winding roads and hilly streets of Panamoka. The bmx track is only open two days a week. That doesn't cut it for these two boys who see this as more than a sport but a passion! This track was built by the homeowners on the property they own and pay taxes on. This should be encouraged! We all know the drug epidemic tearing through the island, the state and this country. We are encouraged to keep our children close. Be vigilant of their behaviors and daily activities. what better way to do it by providing an environment where they can engage in and prefect their skill in a sport that they love and enjoy in the comfort and safety of their own property. They know where their children are and what they are doing. The kids are not only enjoying themselves but excersizing and reducing the time spent behind electronic devices TREMENDOUSLY. I thought that was a good thing. There are plenty of trap houses that need the attention your wasting while investing it into making life difficult for hard working taxpayers but more importantly parents. Parents who are trying to encourage healthy habits and activities for their children in a safe environment....their OWN property. So sorry to hear that they are doing this to family. Smh...

In this day and age of too much screen time and social media excess, I am appalled that any town council would prevent a homeowner from providing an outlet for their own child and his/her friends. Not to mention a child having type1 diabetes has had his life impacted so much already. Why take away his ability to ride a bike and have fun?

This is ridiculous, let the kids ride their bikes and stop trying to control everyone’s life.

This is absolutely absurd that a family even has to create a petition about what they can do on their own property! Let the kid have his bike track! This is straight up harassment as well as un-American. Have some decency and understanding, and stop harassing this family.

After all the taxes we pay for our homes riding a bike on your own property isn’t a crime, it’s no different then seeing a large lacrosse or sicker goal on someone’s front lawn so there child and or friends can practice. Since it’s strictly for Bicycles there will be no noise pollution. And considering the child’s health condition that he and his family have to deal with on every day basis is enough to deal with. People need to mind there’s and let people live

Waiting to close on a house across the street from the boys. This is better then playing in the street.
