I SUPPORT THE 3% OR GO HOME LAW.
"If, on July 1 of any year, federal deficit spending exceeds 3% of the GDP (according to the Congressional Budget Office), no current member of the House of Representatives may seek reelection."
This law would quickly end nonsense earmark spending and would be a huge incentive to cut waste. At the same time, members of Congress would be reluctant to foster tax breaks that do not result in increased revenue (through job creation, etc.) A bill supporting the 3% OR GO HOME LAW would not get enough support in congress to reach a floor vote unless a mass of voters demand it.
