​Petition to Make the Temporary Stoplight at the Intersection of France Ave S and W 39th Street Permanent

The light at 39th and France has made crossing safer and moves traffic across it faster. People also drive way too fast and that makes it that more dangerous to cross a block down.

We need a permanent stop light on that intersection.

Please make it a permanent stop sign!!!

Please keep the lights at 39th and France. That intersection is 8 blocks from my home and is safer with the lights. However keep the 4 way stop sign in 39th and Sheridan. The traffic flies nicely, without traffic backing up.

I avoided this intersection for years until the light went in, makes a huge difference. Keep it!

I think it needs to be a permanent structure. It is much safer going thru the intersection now.

As a cyclist and pedestrian this is such an important crossing. Our people before cars!

PLEASE install a permanent light!!! I drive this stretch every day and I can’t tell you the number of near accidents I’ve witnessed. If you are on 39th waiting to turn left you have to slam on the gas to get through during rush hour. You’re also competing with people crossing straight from the other side so right-of-way is never clear.

this intersection is at the bottom of a big hill that has drivers 10+ mph over the posted speed - making uncontrolled crossing dangerous - especially for bikes and peds

Please improve the safety of this intersection by keeping the stoplight.

Getting in and out of my neighborhood has been so much easier and safer with the traffic light in place at 39th and France.

Traffic …cars speeding to turn left or right. This area has become a racing strip.

I ride my bike to work down France. I witnessed a woman run the intersection with her car and hit a vehicle going north on France. The stop light would make the intersection safer.
