​Petition to Make the Temporary Stoplight at the Intersection of France Ave S and W 39th Street Permanent

The stop light would be a helpful safety measure.

I drive this route nearly daily. The stoplight has been a huge improvement. In the past it was always a game of dodge-em cars, hoping to make the turn or cross Excelsior without getting hit. Keep the light!

I live on the corner of 39th and France Ave South. Due to the temporary signals, we have seen a significant decrease in accidents. It is also safer for pedestrians to cross France Ave. Please put in permanent signals.

I would use the intersection with the light rather the stop sign at 38th because the sight lines at 38th are not good.

Adding turning lanes to this intersection would also be very helpful!

The current temporary traffic signals have demonstrated the reasons why a permanent installation is needed.

Please make the stoplight at 39th St. & France Ave. permanent. I live east of France on 39th St. and without a light it is extremely difficult to see cars coming north on France due to parked cars, trees and buses at the bus stop there. One has to drive nearly a full car length into France to see oncoming traffic. Oncoming northbound cars are traveling very fast there, in part because the prior spotlight is five blocks south of the intersection. Thanks for your consideration.

Yes, it makes sense on that corner I've used from Linden Hills for over 60 years. Always been an unusual crossing. The light seems to help.

please make the street light permanent. There are no safe options for crossing France Ave going east or west for miles!!
