​Petition to Make the Temporary Stoplight at the Intersection of France Ave S and W 39th Street Permanent

I moved into this neighborhood a couple of weeks ago and am already googling this intersection, hoping something is in the works. I hear honks and angry yells several times a day from this corner. It is scary to turn out of our own neighborhood seeing how folks speed over the hills from both directions. I can't even imagine being a pedestrian there. The traffic is heavier here than it used to be, and the current traffic controls are insufficient.

This intersection is a nightmare and a safety hazard. I take a longer route home most days simply to avoid it. I was thrilled when the temporary traffic light was in place. A permanent traffic light here would make so much sense on so many levels!

I use this route everyday to get from 3616 Bryant Ave S to 4201 Morningside Rd and DAILY it’s a game of Russian Roulette

Please do this for safety reasons.

A permanent light on France would slow traffic heading south and make it safer for those turning west onto 39th. Thank you.

This is an important addition to the intersection. I am really surprised it even needs to be debated.

Having a light at 39th Street and France Avenue and the calming effect it’s had, also helps improve safety at other intersections nearby.

The corner on 39th and France with stoplights is so much safer than it was previously. Please install stoplights permanently

Please install permanent traffic light for safety for pedestrians and drivers.

I was in an accident at that intersection in April 2024- not my fault, the driver waiting to cross France plowed into me as I travelled north on France- very dangerous intersection

Please stop further accidents at this dangerous intersection!

I would love to see this stay a permanent fixture. 38th and France is at least as bad and could greatly benefit from a stoplight or traffic circle as well.
