I have significant concerns about the visual and shadow implications of the project's height and massing. Has consideration been given to the afternoon shadow impact reducing the outdoor seating desirability, and resulting economic influence, on small businesses (specifically Sea Breeze Cafe) in the project's vicinity? Also, please consider similar impacts to the community's parklet in front of Other Avenues Market. Many people gravitate to the small businesses near the intersection of Judah and 45th Ave for the block's character; any new development should enhance and respect the features that define the existing character. ADUs can achieve similar and more reasonable housing goals than the proposed development while being more aligned with neighborhood character. I am in support of the HomeSF program and of mixed-use development along public transit corridors, but this project is notably inconsistent with the prevailing building heights of the Sunset neighborhood.

Developers AND PLANNING DEPT need to respect and work WITH the community rather than impose outsize projects, infrastructure unaddressed, like this one, on a lovely little neighborhood!

I live half a block from the proposed sight and never received any notification! I have lived here for 20 years. This project is too big for this neighborhood and is not in keeping with character. I am not opposed to something, this is just too much!
My husband was at the planning meeting to speak in opposition along with several neighbors. We were surprised and felt completely unheard when the planning department passed it unanimously!

I live a block away from this and it would changed the feel of the neighborhood for the worse. Wouldnt be able to see sunset from my backyard. put the building on lincoln.

This would not be good for the neighborhood. The sunset is a last of its kind and we are all trying to keep the vibe going. It’s all mellow 1-2 story old buildings out here and surfers and pre schoolers. The sunset is not the place for that building. Especially not in the already super densely populated part being Judah St. it’s already hard to park as it is! This building would look extremely out of place, ruin the sunset vibe, and just make things more difficult for people on Judah

I DONT agree with this, as someone who loves around the area, there can be serious consequences, for ex. Earthquakes is a big worry and the crowded space is already much. But regardless for people who have homes, to resolve more conflict maybe realise that sometimes you have to do things like BUILD in LESS CROWDED AREAS, and don’t destroy life as well in the process.

This is the kind of development Scott Wiener was supporting on Capitol Hill. Housing density on transit corridors. Not a solution. Sounds like no one in the neighborhood had any notice or input. San Francisco planning commission is a joke. I objected to a neighbors deck being built. One of the commissioners was Darryl Honda who knew the neighbors lawyer. He didn’t recuse himself, and by the way. His nephew was the real estate agent selling the remodeled house. WORM!!!!!!!

I have lived in this neighborhood all my life. I've seen it grow and change and develop so much, even just in 10 years. This project would change the look and feel of a typically welcoming and "homey" neighborhood. Please don't ruin my home.

I was at City Hall last Thursday. I was born and raised on 45th between Judah and kirkham. I am all for development, but this thing is at least 15 feet to tall. does not blend in with the character of the sunset on any day. If this 55 foot plus project gets the greenlight it will open up the door for buildings like it all up and down Judah Street Totally destroying this family neighborhood. I am all for an apartment there I do not blame the landlord. the problem is with City Hall in the planning commission. It sounds like they passed it just for bragging rights so we will remember their names I don’t think any of them have a clue what having pride in your neighborhood is ! Hopefully I’m not too late to get involved in this. I received no notifications in the mail. I am at 1451 45 th.
