I watched the live hearing and wanted to point out how sneaky and dishonest this project being handled and the false stamen made by the project sponsor. When everyone raised the question of why no one is informed of the project, and Commissioner Moore asked the project sponsor to explain.
The project sponsor said there were a lot of people showed up in the preliminary meeting at the project site. That is true BUT the FACT is none of these people were officially informed by the project sponsor. All of these people were informed by one person at the resident of 1414 45th avenue. She was the only ONE received a tiny informal piece of paper in her mailbox about the meeting. She had to walk door to door, ring the bell and let everyone know about the meeting. As such, the people she informed showed up at the meeting AND another FACT is all of these people OBJECTED the project. I was one of the attendees and was not informed also. The project sponsor handed out a sign-in sheet, we signed in with our name and OBJECTION. I hope the planning department ask him to provide that list.
Besides the issues listed on this petition, I wanted to emphasize the lack of parking space this project provided. At the minimum, one parking space needed for each dwelling.

I don’t not want such a massive building in my neighborhood! Does this mean we can all add another floor onto our own homes and not be questioned by zoning requirements?!

This building is much too tall and out of place given our lovely neighborhood. It will not only directly block my view, but it also goes against current zoning standards for building height. We must maintain the integrity of the neighborhood while we develop lots like this one.

People of the neighborhood are feeling so entitled. They would rather look at a dilapidated run-down former gas station than something new to revitalize the site and provide mich needed housing for others. So compassionate of the neighborhood. I hope they are allowed to redesign and build it even taller.

This will do nothing except raise housing prices in the area, darken the street, and make traffic worse. The premise that we can build our way out of a housing crisis caused by giving tax breaks to multi-billion companies is demonstrably false. Even if every house in San Francisco suddenly became a duplex it wouldn't make up for the 15,000 people that arrive to work in high paid tech jobs every year. Besides, rich people get 6000 sq ft homes, but the rest of us get 700 sq ft apts.

What happened to the very strict rules that SF has always stood by regarding building in the same design as the neighborhood? This building looks so incredibly out of place it’s laughable. I definitely support development of that corner but this plan is egregious.

Big fan of this development. I live nearby and welcome all types of people to join the neighborhood. That corner was run down so this is a good change.
San Francisco needs more housing, so I'm very excited to see some being built.

I am a homeowner of 35 years and understand the neighborhood. The density of cars is at more than maximum capacity we do not have adequate emergency response resources to support the area aged infrastructure adding higher density before basic services are addressed is foolish. We sit directly on the San Andreas fault and sand. Preserve the particular charm, fix the big problems first, and regulate growth safely.

That building would not help adding to the already hard to find parking plus adding so much traffic to that area is dangerous. A lot of families with little kids around that area. Plus the look of it would stand out like a sore thumb. Plus the stores it brings will force the "mom and pop" stores to shutdown. The whole neighborhood would be destroyed.

The high demand of parking of the restaurant at the corner of 46th ave and Judah. The restaurant has been taking away A LOT of the parkings EVERY night. If this project happens, there will be less and less parking.
