Who is bullying who? You responded to every single comment on this petition despite being against the site. Fortunately I found the delete comment button so that people can speak their mind without you demanding to know where they live. All I’ve done is create an opportunity for the pro side to be heard, and all you’ve done is come here to try to harrass people. You sure spend a lot of time on this petition as someone who doesn’t support it.

Who is bullying who? If anyone, it’s you coming onto a petition you don’t support and individually harassing every commenter who is in favour of the petition itself. I’ve deleted about 20 of your comments already, Mr. Bryson. There’s a petition against this idea where you’re more than welcome to share your dissension.

again , you cannot bully residents of THIS neighborhood into accepting this proposal, what makes you think YOU are more credible than the people who live here ?

where in my text did I shun anyone ? No one is questioning the need for services, only questioning the location , and clearly those participants would continue to roam the streets after help is given. It is not a solution to anything. You cannot bully residents of this neighborhood into accepting this as such.

Signing your comment with your name might make you credible.

Hi John I spent 7 years working in the ER, and I started the petition. Those drug addicts are currently roaming the streets unsupervised, so why do you only care about shunning them once they have a place to go to for help?

I am fully in support of helping people wherever and whenever we can. This initiative sounds like a good step.

Although its clear ALL of US, as a community, agree that some type of facility is needed desperately , this location may not be the proper place . Anyone who has worked in the ER , will explain to you the unpredictable nature of drug addicts , We are not talking about a bed and breakfast for weary travelers here. This is not a treatment center, it' a drop off house to ride out a high , like a jail without bars. There are many families that live VERY close to this address ( children walking to and from school ) and the safety of our children is, and should be, paramount .

a million bucks plus dozens of staff , operating costs for a few junkies to ride out a high , go back out steel some more stuff, terrorize the neighborhood, get high , come back and do it again... sounds like a real solution , doesn't it ?

It’s a shame this even needs to be debated. In strong support of this great initiative. What a great opportunity for our community.

agreed , but like wise, the ill informed crusaders who created this petition in favor of this catch and release program in a residential area are also out of their minds.

I referred to my backyard, which backs on to the Sylvan property . Come over and take a look and tell me that you would be ok with this proposal if you lived here . This proposal is a 24/7 catch and release program , not a treatment center . None of the clients will be staying past the next fix, but they will linger and return. Maybe you should offer up your cozy cul de sac for your little " integration ""experiment . I don't disagree with the idea so much , just the location. Give your head a good long shake buddy , get off your horse and think about the good of the greater community.

“That prestigious area” is the exact attitude that holds this neighbourhood back. We are all equal in our humanity. I hope Chatham is treating you well!
