How is someone sobering up safely in a controlled environment a bad thing? You lost me there.

why not give this a shot? addictions occasionally get to the point when it becomes the reaponsibility if all of us. addictions will always exist and it is up to us to try something different.....what is the definition of stupid?

Absolutely a desperately needed service.
Jail and cells are not a safe place for people.
Treating this as a HEALTH issue and not a JUDICIAL issue is the right way to make improvements to the system!

Hi Tom
These addicts that make you feel unsafe are already all over our neighbourhood. This is a place for them to be safely monitored by professionals.

Hi John
I appreciate your input, but I respectfully don’t think “would you let your grandchild play in the front yard by herself” should be a barometer for anything decision-wise. I don’t let my kids play alone in the front yard whatsoever and I’m in a quiet cul de sac, not a busy bus route like high st.

I support this facility - and for what it's worth, I do live within a two block radius of the proposed facility. We need these services in ALL neighbourhoods.

I support a safe space for those struggling with addiction, and a place for police to take those under the influence rather than spending hours tying up their and medical professionals time in the emergency department
