31st Street Businesses and Citizens Against the 31st Street Protected Bike Lane System

The fact that there a lot of trucks, with the train, would make this a very unsafe for cyclists.

My business is located 34-23 31 street. Where would I load and u load? I would have to relocate and if I do it will be out of ASTORIA. Born and raised here since 1969 and now I’m afraid to walk alone. Our neighborhood has changed for the worse.

Maybe enforce bicyclist to follow street rules before adding more lanes. They pass red lights they come out of nowhere and they cut cars off. Like motorcyclist they should also have a license and insurance to be on roads. They do cause injuries too

Bike lanes would be dangerous here, hurt local business and only serve as another branch of taxation as more tickets will be written. No thanks

34 & 35 street already have bike lanes. Rarely used! 31 Street is a major retail and has high vehicle and delivery commercial use.

there is no need for bike lanes. parki g os already limited and hardly any bikes. Been drivi g daiky on 21st street by con edison and no bikes...maybe 1 or 2 every blue moon!!! they want to further cause frustration and hurt the small businesses!! itsridiculous

More bike lanes???? Seriously stop trying to ruin the businesses along 31st Street! Business owners are just trying to make a living so they can feed their families and the families of their employees! It’s not a healthy or scenic ride for the bikes anyway. And it is sooo incredibly dangerous! How could anyone think this was a good idea? There are so many safe bike lanes all over already. Stop trying to push out generations of family owned businesses we all rely on!!!

This is the city force feeding us what they believe is good for us. Why aren't we (the people) being asked? Let us decide if we want bike lanes were we work/live. Put the issue up for a vote

I have a disabled child. Having a bike lane in front of my driveway is a huge safety hazard! The entire concept is a safety hazard for all. What are you people thinking??

Enough is enough when these cyclists start paying insurance and fees to repair the road then they get their lane. This dosen't help the tax paying citizens of ny.
