What's better than one birthday cake? Two! What's better that two birthday cakes? Three! Katrina Lunden and Tessa Vang, Elsa's mother and sister, both share the same birthday of February 23rd. While at first Katrina had declared that she would stop aging and would not share, over the years it turned into a wonderful celebration, with two cakes. Imagine our devastation when we heard that Elsa's induction for her incoming baby boy was scheduled on the 24th! So close, yet so far! However, we respect that she wants the doctor that she has been working with throughout her journey to attend the delivery. Which is why we'd like to formally request that you adjust your schedule and induce Elsa Pondish on Sunday, February 23rd, so that her son may have the honor of being the third generation in a row to celebrate their birthday on that date.

I have spent the last few days looking through your stories about how your own families celebrate these rare and special connections. Knowing that so many of you understand why this birthday alignment means everything to our family makes the waiting feel a little less heavy.
