Recently my gas meter had a fault and i had no heating it was after office hours, I tried several numbers from my supplier to find all services had closed for the day. The only means of contacting them was via live chat however they just kept giving me numbers that were not working or i had already tried.I finally got hold of someone the next day and after informing them that it was disgusting that people don't have a number to call for help in such cases. Not everyone has access to the internet especially the elderly. So i am setting up this petition to try and get all gas and electricity companies to supply a 24/7 break down contact number.

this happens to me all the time. sitting in the freezing cold with no way to talk to a human is totally unacceptable. fix this now.
