Infuriating that some group protecting private developer interests, was able to sink this woman into financial debt. Avenue Rd is already noisy due to traffic & apartment buildings. Seems like most residents would have welcomed a little coffee shop. Shame on those behind nuking this place.

Should it really be this hard to set-up a coffee shop in the 4th largest city in North America?

That this is even necessary is insane.

Good for you for wanting to have a positive impact on your community and having the guts and smarts to open a business in this increasingly stifling economy. Don't let them break your spirit.

Grant the coffee shop the exemption. In a COVID we should be helping small business not killing it. Disgraceful.

A 6-lane major road is not a place that should worry about traffic and noise from a coffee shop. If the traffic is an issue, ban cars from Avenue Road.

Wishing you the best in opening! These entitled “neighbourhood” groups are a huge problem here in TO - usually blinded and wrong in their privileged outlook - and can eat mud on this one as far as I’m concerned.

Those objecting to 211 remaining open certainly DO NOT represent this resident's view.

I'm sorry you guys are having to go through this. I can't understand why anyone would see this business as problematic. Hope to see you on the other side and enjoy more of that great coffee

The treatment of this business is inexcusable and sickens me as a resident of the local community. We should be trying to foster a community that embraces and supports young businesses, not destroying them before they even start.
