This parade has been Coalinga's tradition for many years. Classic cars are a huge part of it and have always appeased the crowd. The Chamber of Commerce was instigating them to burn rubber and all of the cars did. Why did the police officer only pick out the best, most expensive car to ticket, impound and call the driver wreckless? He is now facing huge fees, 2 points and a misdeanor on his driving record plus jail time!!! This is discrimination and should not be allowed at all. You must do the same to all drivers, not just one.

Was there standing right next to McDonald's i do think if this car got impounded and a ticket was written it should it been for all the other cars performing at the parade because i did see almost every single car misbehave on the parade except the last car driven by a lady that is my opinion

This driver was not the only driver peeling out during the parade, i also saw several other drivers doing the same exact thing. It is unfair that only this driver got cited for it and the others did not.

I witnessed at least three cars burning rubber in the parade on Memorial Day in Coalinga. We were west of the announcer's booth and saw the cars almost directly in front of us demonstrating their power.

Every single vehicle in the parade were performing in the same manner. I was sitting by the Busy Bee Bakery and witnessed it. I will gladly testify to this.

I was there and witness both the so called illigal activity of "spinning tires" as well as the horse incident. There are pictures that clearly show other cars were also engaging in this illegal activity while in the parade. There is a photo that clearly shows an officer talking to the driver through the passenger window while in the parade, after that driver also engaged in this illegal activity. However, in my opinion, I believe all the cars put on an awesome show in the parade. It wasn't like they were wreckles. I honesty don't think that there was one person who felt unsafe at the parade while the cars were engaging in the so called illegal activity. It wasn't like they where drag racing down the street (which apparently is ok at the coalinga airport. Wait how is it OK for coalinga airport to host an event that has cars spinning their tires and speeding at a high rate of speed 200 plus mph down a strip, but can't spin tires at 15 mph in a parade..hmmm) . Now ask how many parents, children, people in genral, felt unsafe when the two horses ended up on the side walk in th e middle of the crowd in a physical altercation? How many people felt safe knowing that the PD was no were around during this incident, to help with crowd control (since there isn't much that can be done to stop horses, to make sure everyone was ok and that no one was injured...
