Picking on only one is not fair. They all where doing the same thing. Plus the horse's where in the crowd.

It was very obvious that the drivers of the majority of the cars were peeling out and spinning tires. The judges stand and photographers were egging on this behavior. Police officers only cited/impounded this one vehicle to clearly discriminate as he did nothing that the others weren't doing. I believe if charges are not dropped and the fees are not returned to the vehicle owners they should file a discrimination suit against the city of Coalinga and I will return as their best witness as I have much more detailed information and video as well as photographs. It is unlawful to discriminate/site one person out of a crowd clearly committing the same crime at the same time as well as it is unethical for City officiants to encourage illegal behavior! This is outrageous!

I was there.. The chevelle was singles out. I feel it was selective enforcement as others also engaged in that behavior. If all were going 15 mph( ridiculous) should have been no problem to enforce as CHP is able to pull over multiple cars at high speeds. Just saying....

Its sad when coalinga PD once again ruin a good thing..... no more classic cars in the parade. Just goes to show the authority some people have just goes to their heads. "Make an example out of him" was stated to an officer from his superior which demonstrates that the CHPD have issues.

It is unfair to hold ONE entry/contestant responsible for breaking a law that is not enforced during a parade. There were MANY unsafe situations that could have resulted in an accident causing bodily harm to the parade wstchers. Examples of this include: sittting atop the hood of a moving vehicle; standing up in or on a moving vehicle; engaging in sports (wrestling) while atop a moving vehicle with no safety nets or sides; driving an enclosed, illegal motorized vehicle with eyesight impaired by the enclosure itself (the horned toad); driving on the wrong side of the street. The muscle car entry has been a part of the parade for many years. Burnouts and smoke are not only expected they are cheered for by the crowd AND the parade announcer. The officer sought out but one car, one entry. This was completely unfair to the driver and car owner. If laws of the road were going to be enforced during the parade then the PD should have ticketed everyone not JUST one.

I witnessed at least four of the vehicles peeling out and the guy on the motorcycle with no helmet was driving a little crazy
