"Screen size, power, upgradability and the ability to swap internal drives around is nice too... all things that are missing from the current lineup. If they gave a 17" with 5 hours rated battery life, or even 4 I would be fine. I just want something big, beautiful and powerful."

I really don't care about thin and light. When I work on location, I want a big 4K screen, uncompromised power and battery life. Please Apple, if you won't make it, license it out. Many of us cannot do our work on an iPad, no matter how big you make it.

I would prefer a 5k MBP without a bezel, as that would be perfect for video editing and would be ideal for programming apps

I used to run ac PowerBook G4 17", and I'm sad that the MBP's are just 15". I also want to be able to have more than 16GB of RAM. Intel Optane SSD 2TB would also be very nice, and a BIG battery.

keep usb 3.1 ports, headphone jack, and microphone jack, use thunderbolt 3 ports, hdmi and expresscard next to the audio jacks like the previous gen minus the superdrive. and get us 7th gen i7 quad core, ssd, DDR4 ram and 2gb of dedicated graphics. also 5k 17 inch.

No need to keep such a machine in production forever, just one or two years out of four will be enough. Here's what matters: screen HEIGHT more than WIDTH (3:2 is better than 16:10), a MATTE display, color GAMUT and precision, PERFORMANCE, PERFORMANCE, and finally PERFORMANCE.

I refuse to purchase another Apple branded product till it has been brought back. I no longer have an iPhone and now have a WinHoze machine. I still use my old 17 MacBook Pro but it is getting pretty old and it is showing. The last step is replacing it.

I'd very much like to have a MacBook Pro in 17". I'd be willing to mortgage my house for one :). Come on Apple, get your wits about you.
