i need screen size on the road -- hate having to buy toshibas etc etc -- please make a larger screen MBP!

Our primary machines are our two 2011 17" MacBook Pros, and will be until Apple produces another laptop with that screen size. With our aging eyes, these tiny laptops Apple is focusing on are quite unusable. We will continue to service then until they can't take any more, then hunt down refurbished units.
Previously we had replaced our portable Macs as their AppleCare expired. Not any longer until new 17" units are released. Apple has missed out on our $$$$ for at least two new machines.

I'm still holding on to my late 2011 macbook pro because I don't want to give up the 17 inch of beauty! This is my only computer and I need the larger screen. Please bring it back!!
I believe the 17" should come back with an 8K display while the 15" with 5K display as-well-as the 13" with a 4K display, all supporting Wide Colour Gamut, Dolby Vision or HDR. Just reducing the bezels to millimetres (it's not a touchscreen hence, easier) and using the latest 7000-series aluminium will solve the issues of size and weight management in today's portability.

As someone who is a PC power user, not for photo editing, or for work, but for enthusiast level gaming.
It would be swell to see my good old 17" friend back, with maybe some raid0 ssd's, a killer fast CPU, and a nice nvidia or amd GPU for when I want to play in bed or lounge.
Upgrade the thunder bolt to 3.0 and that will allow me to use an EGPU when I want to sit at my desk.
The biggest thing, is the screen, oh how I miss the 17", 15" is nice, but 17" was legendary!! .... Last but not least, do what you want, make it retina, make it 4K, but if you do anything, make it bezel less!!!

I need a new 17" for my work: in this "fluid" era it's incredible Apple doesn't give me the possibility to have a REAL portable workstation to work everywhere (without needing mandatorily a second monitor!)

A return of the 17" MacBook Pro is long overdue for power users like developers that connect use the laptop as a 2nd dual head display. In such cases a 15" laptop next to a 24" monitor is too far away on the desk to make the screen very usable. Apple needs to remember that the power users and developers not the consumers kept the company from imploding and rather than reward them they stay focused on fat profits from consumers were in most don't know the difference between one laptop and the next.

Why not 18" or 19"?!
Make it a frameless screen and the outer dimensions will be the same as the last 17"
+ now it will be a thinner unit so it'll be a lighter device by that fact.
And what would be extra cool is giving it the black chrome finish of the Mac Pro which would do away with the goofy 2 tone look they've had since they moved away from the all silver look.
