We support the petition requesting a traffic study prior to rezoning along High House Road. More housing in this area is exacerbating an already difficult traffic situation. Henry Gerrits

Trying to get in and out of the berkeley subdivision is nearly impossible for alot of the day. People inch out of wellsley and berkeley because one side of the road allows it and then find themselves in the middle of the road hoping and praying that they wont get killed by cars coming so fast before they can make their turns. Keep a copy of this petition because I am not convinced cary town council will not do the right thing here and there are bound to be many more dangerous accidents with fatalities in the future with all of this additional new growth. Cary town council has for many years said that they are careful planners when it comes to town growth and scrutinizes every application for how the proposed growth works with for the citizens of cary. Not!!!!!!! We have been through this nonsense with them with the development of hadley place, the cornerstone church, searstone, and now three additional subdivisions.

A traffic study will definitely help in determining current traffic flow and can help project future traffic patterns with the upcoming developments.

This area has become very dangerous at Jenks Carpenter Road. Poor visibility and unexpected U-turns. This intersection should be blocked from u-turns forcing cars to the light at Carpenter Upchurch for better visibility and proper light cycle safety.

It has become increasingly difficult to exit the Berkely neighborhood onto Highhouse road during non-traffic times. I fear for my soon-to-be-driving teen to exit the neighborhood, it is extremely dangerous.

If any of the current Cary Town Council members would try to turn left from High House across traffic coming from Hwy 55 anytime between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm daily, they would definitely experience the very dangerous traffic congestion in this area!!!

Avoiding these intersections is not a solution for existing and new residents. Nor is waiting for another senseless loss of life to fix the problem. It is irresponsible for board members to hide behind a "it's not required" excuse to proceed without a simple traffic study.

I used to live in this area, and frankly, I'm glad I got out because the traffic is starting to get bonkers. It's worst at Davis & High House because there are just too many reasons to go through the area. Please be very cautious with developments in this area.

I gladly sign this petition as it is outrageous the way these housing developments are fast tracking with no regard as to impact on quality of life for existing Cary residents and public service employees that support the residents.

It's a no-brainer to do a traffic study at this very busy intersection.

Cary resident strongly in support of this petition. One teen driver in our household and very concerned for her safety. Will have another teen driver in 2 years.

It is already difficult to u turn certain times of the day. Too many cars on the road now.

The left turn from Connemara onto 55 and Sir Walker onto High House are both extremely challenging at certain times of the day for any driver, but particularly new drivers and there is no easy alternative.

As a Wellsley resident, I agree that there should be a traffic study to validate the need for a stoplight at Cranborne and High House.

Please open up the Widdington entrance (why it was blocked?). It just makes the traffic at Cranborne very bad!

It should also be pointed out that we have a multitude of young, inexperienced drivers who are on their way to/from Green Hope HS each day! Please do a traffic study.

I am a resident of Eastern NC and a frequent visitor to Cary to visit family on Cranborne Lane. After a visit for Christmas, I emailed the Acting Town Manager about the dangerous intersection at High House and Cranborne. He did reply and responded that he would forward my message to other town officials. Now to hear that there is going to be more development makes it even more important that this issue be addressed. At this intersection there are 4 different ways to make a left turn plus 2 ways to make a U-turn. With increased traffic, a traffic light is necessary at this intersection. Betty Thomas
