On the 21st July 2018 our world was shattered when we lost our beautiful gorgeous girl Hannah. Words cannot describe how we are feeling right now because it still doesn’t feel real.
On that horrific day before Hannah took her own life she was watching this programme and it was on pause when the police arrived at her house.
Mental health is a complex issue that needs more help, support and awareness but I feel programmes like this glamorise suicide rather than raise awareness like it is intended. I think producers and writers need to be very careful of the content and need to understand these can be triggers for someone who suffers with their mental health. I’m not saying this programme is the cause of my daughters death but it definitely didn’t help!
Hannah will be very much missed but never forgotten and will always be in our hearts.
I would like to sign the petition because we don’t want any more harm to anybody specially Netflix is almost created to destroy vulnerable people with depression/ mental illness. After reading that happened to a beautiful girl how she took her life, it made me realise that having a Netflix at home for some people is like having a stranger in your house in terms of not knowing the effects that they will do to you.

Caught my daughter watching it, tho she doesn’t suffer from any mental health, think of those who do and what seeds is it planted.

This is not an issue that uneducated children who know nothing about mental health and it’s complexities should be watching at all. Completely irresponsible.

I really enjoyed the show but if it's doing more harm them good it needs to go. People need to be kinder to one another.

I have no words to explain how sad I am to hear of what has happened. I hope this petition can go so some way to helping others reach out. Thinking of you all xxx
