The MOH was designed to be awarded to heroes and to honor their action. It is shameful and a dishonor to true heroes to have awarded this medal to murderous cowards.
I ask you to revoke the MOH for those who took part in the murder of innocent people. Furthermore, I ask that any and all unit awards given in connection with the massacre will be rescinded.

The true history of the killing of our people is a black mark on the early history of the Americas. It mattered not to the newcomers whether the intended victims were children, women, men, or even pets. It mattered not whether they were healthy or not. It mattered not if they were armed or not. It mattered not if they were seeking peace or war. It mattered not if they were hungry or starving. What happened to our people was like a "scorched earth policy". Get them out of the way, at any cost, to get access to lands and resources. Today we are saying that the actions of newcomer armies was inhumane, illegal, and was genocide. JIm Thorpe was stripped of his olympic medal for supporting himself through playing baseball for one summer. For being paid to put food on his table. Then the "men" who knowingly fired on a community of children, women, and men , whom they had just disarmed and whom they were seeking vengeance against for Custers defeat, should not be allowed to keep their medals. Medals issued for the killing of unarmed children, women and men.

The savage slaughter of innocent people is NO reason to be rewarded with ANY medal. NO different than going into a school of innocent kids & slaughtering them & then receive a medal? Oh but this is different, they were Native Americans.

Another disgrace in American history - the true heroes are not the cowards w/guns. The blood of the elderly, women & children will never be forgotten and as a teacher, I will make known to my students the true story of the Massacre At Wounded Knee! These cowards do not deserve medals & all need to be rescinded & destroyed!

Families of those that did this should not want to hold on to something so bloody and so vile. Rescind the medals, let the days of bloody screaming, dying and agony be put rest as well as can be.

Having read Dee Brown's Book "Bury My heart At Wounded Knee" I am horrified that such a thing took place. To award medals to people who slaughtered the innocent is beyond belief. Rescind ALL the medals, may the victims Rest In Peace. God Bless

this is totally sick to award metals for massacaring Indians or anyone, whoever handed out the metals in the first place had to be sick in the head and anyone that excepted the metals are not much better, you have to have a mental problem to think it is worth a metal because you massacared people.
