Only my stupid, bigoted, and selfish white ancestors whould give medals to killers of children, women, and old men. They should all be returned and an offical apology offered to the decendants of these people.

I have read this story numerous and similar ones out of our bloody history. I am appalled that these medals were awarded to butchers who massacred women and children and unarmed men and then mutilated their bodied is horrible ways. There needs to be a National Repentance and amends made for this and other atrocities perpetrated against the Indian Nations as we invaded Indian lands and violated the many treaties that were used to trick and betray Indian Trust and friendships.

Hasn't the US military caused enough pain and grief for the native people of this beautiful land? Wake up!! We know the truth and we're angry about it! It's way past time to start righting the wrongs. Those soldiers NEVER deserved Medals of Honor. Who would EVER think they should have!! ENOUGH injustice!

medals were given to these men for murder and nothing else! It not only has been a stain on history and the people to which it was done, but also the white people like myself that have always been appalled by what our government did to these innocent people........It makes me sick that the government allowed such a sick crime and then rewarded them for doing it.....

When it's wrong it's wrong, don't praise the killing of innocent women, children, and the elderly. Mistakes and misunderstandings occur but don't give medals for mass killings.

Medals of honor are to be given for heroic actions in battle, NOT for killing unarmed and defenseless people. These soldiers should never have been given medals for what was war crimes!

The loss of life due to massacre should not have been awarded for the devastation of loss of life of innocent men, women and children.
