I believe, if I child wants to work when he is 10 or up, he should be allowed. They are reliable and I do not understand why it is against the law. I am 12 years old, nearly 13, and I am devasted that we cannot work to earn money so we can purchase things with it. It honestly baffles me. There's a holiday camp quarter of a mile from my house and my sister (who is 15) works there, and I wish very much I could join her, because she can buy lots of clothes. I am saving up for an Xbox 360 but when I get that doesn't mean I will quit my job. I want to work also because my parents complain I don't get out a lot. I'm not that active but I am intelligent, having 2 letters home from the school, one saying I was academically gifted, and the other saying that I was the top of my class in English and how well I was performing in the subject. I am certainly mature enough to earn a job and I think most 10 year olds are. So if your children are pestering you for cash and they are 10-13, sign this petition today and we will be a step closer to stop 10-13 year olds pleading for money. Not only will they be out and about, but they will be earning their OWN money. Once there is enough signatures, I will send this parliment and ask them to put this law into action.
