We, Leah,Megan,Whitney, and Victoria would like to petition the idea of children 10 and older to be able to volunteer for animal shelters or any other services. We want this because we beleive children should not be discriminated because of their age. Children can be just as mature as older people. We dont want to interfere with education, that is why each volunteer would go through a training cousre.
The growth of this initiative shows that decision makers need to take our request for volunteer age reform seriously. I have begun drafting a formal proposal to outline the training curriculum for review by local shelter directors.
