Guarantee musicians of New New Orleans and Louisiana a bigger, fairer share of two crucial pies.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and its Festival (JazzFest) each gain millions of dollars a year from JazzFest. Urge the Foundation's Board to guarantee that 10% of JazzFest's $15-million+ budget for entertainment go to artists of New Orleans and Louisiana. Urge the Foundation's Board to allot 10% of the Foundation's $34,353,079 in 'Net assets' to centers in New Orleans and across Louisiana that work to promote youth's engagement in music and other advances in culture.

Now musicians of New Orleans and Louisiana appear to be receiving less than 5% of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festval's pertinent budget, Its owning Foundation holds more than $30 million that it could use to more support 'Education' and 'Economic Development.'

A fairer share of the two pies can also go toward a Universal Basic Income for qualifying musicians of New Orleans and Louisiana. It will help to sustain the music and culture that are the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation's 'mission' and the source of its now 50-year-old Festival.

Sign, please, for a fairer share to fund the present, past and future of music and culture in New Orleans and Louisiana!
