Yes fees has to be waived. Singaporean who had to serve the extra seven days were caught unaware and had no choice

My industry has been struck so hard (events)and ive had no income or very little since last march, ive got to do this again October, please can you waive the additional 7 days for us already serving before may 8th, thanks in advance.

I am returning with my twin boys to serve NS. I have to fork out SGD8k and more just for this quarantine period and am very stressed out at how I can afford to then pay rent for the next 2 years

If this was made known before travel then the responsibility is on us to decide if we want to go through or not. But if this was added on when we no longer have a choice, there should be some financial relief or aid for this large sum of money to the average person.

It is not contractually right to extend the period without notification and expect expenses to be paid by myself.

I came to work from Malaysia, I’ve been saving for the quarantine cost for the past year but out of sudden I’ll need to pay additional $1.2k. This seriously cost a big burden and hopefully the government would at least giving some discounts or allowances on those who are currently serving SHN.
