When the world is talking about sustainable energy, there seems no point to ban tram running in the busy Central given it is not only an efficient public transportation but also environmental friendly. Above all, to improve the heavy traffic condition in Central, the government should encourage people to use public transportation like trams and ban the use of private cars during the traffic peak hours instead.
The proposal seems illogic just to ban the trams for more rooms for other cars which will only overload the traffic and will worsen the pollution level in Central.

Tram in HK is one of the best and popular transport for tourist. If efficiency means abolishing tourism, then I don't see the point for people to visit HK. It's no longer a tourist-friendly city!
電車係香港重要交通, 不少旅客嚟港都會體驗一下, 有助旅遊業多向發展。 亦係好多公公婆婆閒時遊車河嘅重要交通。大家嘅重要回憶, 絕不能拆去!!

電車是觀光港島的著名趣味遊綫，到港遊客幾乎必定以電車穿梭港島欣賞建築物及細味街景，亦因為路軌貫通港島，旅客同時得以無礙地抵達各個目的區域消費，這是服務 ! 難道叫旅客觀光中途落車轉乘 ? 我們的電車百年不倒地代表著港島血脈，同時具其民生功能，移除任何段落的電車路軌，無疑是自毀香港前程 ! 要改善交通，必定先限制彈丸之地內根本無必要，更加無上限地增加的私家車才是正確方法，而非將僅餘的旅遊吸引力剷除 !
電車既有歷史價值亦有實際用途。電車既環保亦能提供良好的交通作用, 特別是用作短途旅程, 比其他公共交通公具如地鐵、巴士、小巴更好更便宜。電車是香港的特色, 是香港的城市靈魂, 不可以一向說落後阻街就淘汰。拆除電車, 等同於消滅香港靈魂, 一定掀起羣情反對!

到底知不知道很多外國遊客就是喜歡坐電車的呀? 塞車是因為馬路上多了不少的大型旅遊巴! 這根本是跟電車無關的! 麻煩請用腦袋想一想吧!
對於有建議拆除德輔道中及金鐘道的對於有建議拆除德輔道中及金鐘道的電車路段（西自租庇利街，東至軍器廠街），原因為電車於繁忙時段佔據該路段近3成路面，是造成中環塞車的元兇，本人覺得極度荒謬 ! 要知道真正造成交通擠塞的元兇一直都是過多的私家車輛 ! (以每輛電車所佔之路面空間與每輛私家車之比為2 : 1，而每輛電車載客量為90人，每2輛私家車為10人比較，效率已經是9 : 1之比 ! 再者，於繁忙時段，私家車在中區上落客、違倒停車/泊車的情況屢見不鮮，試問電車又怎可能是塞車的元兇 ?! 另外，相信除了部分離地退休中産如薜國強先生等之外，仍有不少香港市民，尤其是已退休的老人家及不少基層市民，對電車所提供的方便、廉價及舒適服務有極大的需求，魯莽刪去中區一段的電車路軌只會對市民造成極大的不便 ! 況且，香港不是也想要成為一個環保城市的未來模範嗎 ? 那麼為何一邊大興土木興建港鐵，一邊又肆意抹殺默默為香港辛勤服務百年的環保電車呢 ?! 而電車還是香港旅遊業的一個極具歷史價值極有吸引力的賣點呢 ? 再者，要真正解決交通擠塞的問題，為何運房局至今還不實行研究了多年的電子道路收費計劃 ? 為何不於繁忙時段嚴格執行巴士專線，及設立電車專線等眾多可行的方案呢 ? 所以懇請當局切勿通過有關之建議 ! 否則後果自負，完。
