It is a stupid idea to detrail the trams in Hong Kong. Tourists love sightseeing of Hong Kong by sitting of this iconic trams. It is just like cable car in San Francisco, tourists love to ride and check out the downstown of San fran.
The uncontrolled numbers of passenger car is the main reason of traffic jam.
How come an unqualified person could evoke a strange suggestion to remove a public transportation but not pointing to the root cause of traffic congestion, i.e. Numbers of passenger cars?

Tram is valuable because it is convinent, more affordable, enviromental friendly, enjoyable, dependable, safe, remarkable. I seldom heard bad reports about it.
As a professional planner myself, I totally object to the idea of cancellation of the tram service as suggested by Sit Kwok Keung. The Hong Kong Tram Service is not just a mere form of transportation in our city but a signature of the city of Hong Kong. Sit's suggestion that trams are the cause of (hence, their cancellation us a solution to) congestion in Central shows his complete disrespect for our heritage and a lack of understanding of and ignorance as to what the genuine cause of the traffic problem in that part of the city is.

不要再試圖剷除香港特色，真正遊客旅遊目的不單純粹購物(網購更方便快捷)，更多是觀光，再除去香港特色只會剩下純購物的自由行，單一客源屬不正常，倘國內經濟下滑便會令香港旅客數目大幅下降，而且電車有實際用途(集體運輸工具)，為港島居民帶來方便

反對有關禁止電車在中區行駛，以譲出更多空間予汽車行駛的建議。以汽車取代電車是一項反環保措施，並會令中環的空氣污染情況惡化。 為改善中區的空氣質素及減少汽車排放污染物，政府更應在中環區設立電車，行人及單車環保專區，禁止非公務車及私家車進入徳輔道中。 為改善中區交通情況，政府應限制私家車進入中區，鼓勵市民使用公共交通工具或踏單車。 同時應將現行巴士路線及巴士站重組。設立環保專區後，巴士應改道皇后大道中及干諾道中，取消所有在德輔道中的巴士站。

電車係香港既特色，唔可以無，再唔保護這些特色，香港就只餘下密質質既建築物，沒有風格既商場，香港人要撐下去 ，不可以比呢啲仆街搞亂香港
