The idea of eradicating of trams in Hong Kong is not only ridiculous, it's a serious step in the wrong direction. More roads should be pedestrianized and more trams built along those areas to provide a cleaner, more affordable method of shuttling high densities of people along Hong Kong Island's congested north coast. We don't need any more frigging cars spewing out toxic exhaust!!

The most idiotic idea I ever heard. Everyone else wants to reduce traffic downtown and create a pedestrian environment to support the retail and this bozo wants to turn Des Vouex Road into a super highway. Why would the HK government waste money to hire such a completely out of touch moron as a consultant?

It makes no sense at all to remove trams. The trams are not creating the traffic. The cars and trucks that continually double park and park on yellow lines stop traffic from flowing!
Be smart before you make ridiculous recommendations.
