Trams is the very convenienc and environment friendly transportation system for city. We have no reason to stop trams to provide service to Hong Kong.

Whenever I visit HK, I will stay in places where they are near the tram path. That is my top priority. Every tram ride is a joy, its speed allows me to look at the tall commercial buildings and watch the HK people on the streets. I thoroughly enjoy taking the tram, taking time to enjoy Hong Kong sights, listening to the "ding ding" . Please keep the iconic trams!

Iconic, affordable, sustainable. A unique way to look at Hong Kong.
Removing the tram line from Des Voeux road in Central would be a terrible mistake. We should instead change the street into a (public) space shared by pedestrians and trams (and other public transportation). Activating city life dynamics and try to attract people to spend time in the public space. Those life dynamics that vehicles traffic kills.

Tram is :
1. one of Hong Kong unique tourist attraction and an invaluable heritage and signature of the city.
2. not the main cause of traffic congestion.
3. provide a low cost yet low carbon emission transport for general public.
The proposal of cancellation of tram path is very narrow minded. This is the mentality of a typical life long civil servant who has very limited appreciation of the real world! Perhaps this may be a smart PR exercise to raise the publicity of this one-man consultancy firm.

I used to live in Hong Kong, and now holiday in Hong Kong frequently. Whenever my family goes to Hong Kong, taking the trams is a must, esp for my kids. We love the vintage feel of it, its zero-emission and ability to enjoy the street sights. Its affordability is a big plus, for both tourists and locals alike. With more than 110 years of history, trams should stay to speak volumes of Hong Kong's unique heritage.

This is madness. The HK tram network should be expanded not reduced. Trams cause no air pollution and are a convenient way of getting around Hong Kong.
