As a proud Lansing Eastern alumna, I am proud to stand in support of Coach D and these young women.
I have known Coach D since she was a cheerleader herself, and I have watched her grow into a dedicated coach, mentor, and role model. She has invested countless hours into building not only a successful cheer program but also confident, disciplined, and resilient young women. The fact that these athletes are speaking up on her behalf speaks volumes about the impact she has had on their lives.

not only was she just a coach , she was a mentor! the raw & true definition of someone you'd want your girls to be with day in & day out ! it was never a dull moment and Coach D really brought life to the team ! if it was never for her i honestly probably would've never cheered myself but it felt good to know i had a Coach & a wonderful woman that i could fall and lean back on !

Dee loved the students she coached. She was not just a coach she advocated for them encouraging them, attending some of their special events, sometimes picking some up for practice and making sure they got home. Dee made sure the cheerleaders represented Eastern. Dee advocated for new uniforms and got them. Dee made head gear for the group all of this and more while working a full time job and self employed while attending college. I think she also set a good example for the girls.

Kids should have a choice who is involved with there growth and accomplishments letting go of someone who met so much to them puts them in a space of emptiness and defeat Easter has already lost so much from when I went there, stop taking from these children.

Coach D was more than just a coach to the team. She invested her time, energy, and heart into helping grow not only as cheerleaders, but as young women. She created an environment built on discipline, leadership, accountability, and sisterhood. The impact she had on the program cannot be replaced overnight.
As athletes, they deserve transparency and the opportunity to have their voices heard regarding decisions that directly affect our team. Coach D believed in them, pushed them to be the best.

Our coach means so much more to us than just someone who teaches cheer. she have been a mentor, a role model, and someone who has always believed in us, even when we didn't believe in ourselves. coach D pushed us to be better, not only as athletes but as people. she created a team that felt like a family and made every one of us feel valued and supported.
Since losing our coach, it hasn't felt the same. The dedication, passion, care, and our bond cannot easily be replaced WE NEED COACH D BACK!!
