I live just south and west of the location and definitely support this much-needed project! The area is under-utilized and the need to grow and distribute food is real.

This is adding a sixth farm to help produce more than 80,000 lbs of fresh organic produce to feed those who are food insecure in and around our community.

I agree what many others have already said - the urban farm will be an additional way to build sustain the community while offering opportunities for education and giving back.

I support this farm project because I believe public spaces should be designed around what benefits the community as a whole. Evanston has an opportunity to make a decision that reflects what the majority of residents support. This urban farm will bring lasting educational, environmental, and community benefits, while still preserving plenty of green space for everyone to enjoy.

The earth grows food, people need food. Self reliance and community is the path forward. Agrarianism is the future. I support this garden, and more like it, wholeheartedly!

This farm will not reduce the usable area of the park and will feed countless people in need of food. We must become as self reliant as possible to grow our own food and care for each other. Evanston Grows is a treasure and having the farm in Elks Park will strengthen the community. I support it 100%.

A garden in S. Evanston is a wonderful idea. It will teach children where food comes from and what healthy food is like. I heartily support this

A garden is a wonderful use for this park. It will help people learn about how food grows, will provide food for the hungry and will encourage more birds and insects to come - something we all need.
