I sign the petition because I too believe that a little make-up, worn with sobriety and class, does not prevent high school girls from studying seriously, respecting shared rules, supporting those who are more vulnerable, and serving as an example of future women who are committed, grounded in strong values and attentive to themselves, to others and to the environment.

I don't understand how it affects our learning, we already have a uniform, we should be able to be allowed to do what we want with our face

I was a student at ISS for 4 years and it’s so shocking to me to see this is viewed as such a large issue when it is a form of self expression and there is no evidence whatsoever that it is harmful to learning which is what a school is for and I think make- up boosts confidence and makes people feel good about themselves.

I don't think anyone should be judged or suspended from wanting to wear makeup. If it makes a person confident and happy, that's what matters.

Students’ right to self expression and self determination must be respected, and this includes their right to wear light makeup if they wish to.

The school should be worrying about bigger issues, wearing light makeup should not be a problem, it's not like they are distracting others or taking away from a students intelligence...

I think people should be free to wear as much makeup as they want, unless it's somehow offensive or problematic.

Education should focus on learning, not controlling students’ appearance. Banning makeup at school is an outdated and unnecessary rule

There are more important issues to focus on at ISS. Makeup isn’t one of them.

Girls should express who they are through makeup and also makeup can cover up their insecurities
Bc expressing myself is important
