Thankfully we have a garage but we are very aware of the issue that needs to be deterred.

As a Brookline resident, I am very concerned about the ongoing break-ins and car damage we have seen with nobody trying to stop this from happening.

I'm signing this position because I would rather have the police deal with the suspects instead of the threat from vigilantes in the neighborhood. Things are starting to boil up and threats have been made that require the police to diffuse by reducing the occursnce of break-ins. I fear someone is going to take action into their own hands and we will be faced with much more than car break-ins.

These get reported to police, but it seems that does nothing what so ever. They won't even come out for a police report!

The crime, especially car break ins and thefts have been permitted for much too long. I called 911 three times when teenagers stole cars and ended up downtown...no one wanted to show up while in progress at 5 30am.

There has been an increase in criminal activity in Blvd area and surrounding streets….. including car break-in and vehicle thefts “teen takeovers” and assaults on citizens.

Two days ago, our neighbors vehicle was stolen from in front of their home. Our neighborhood no longer feels safe & an increased police presence is warranted and welcomed.

My community used to be a safe and respectful place where you could walk through the streets without having to look over your shoulders, you used to know everybody and everyone respected everyone else.

It's important to stop the people breaking into cars and stealing them. We in the neighborhood shouldn't be in fear of losing something we work hard for

We moved to Brookline 5 yrs ago and experienced house breakin with both vehicles stolen and property damage totaling over $33k. Teens were arrested but damage caused to my family was ongoing.
