This monsterous wind turbine invasion of our homes, farmland, and animal life is very detrimental to our farm community. It disturbs the tranquility and beauty to supply cities far away and does not benefit the inhabitants here. Put solar panels and windmills on city roofs and buildings that collect energy for the people who live there. Do not destroy our homes and quality of life.

Selling out our beautiful land to brings these in makes no sense. Have we not learned from other communities who sold out and saw no gains only to ruin their county. Why would we want this when we have not seen any return on our electric rates and only increases?? Our elected officials need to represent those who put them in a position to be their voice. The people are shouting from the mountain tops to not do this!!!

I am concerned what would happen to my husband's cattle business if the wind turbines are installed. We love our county just the way it is. Leave us alone!

We want to keep our natural landscapes and wildlife in tact around here, not another huge multi-billion corporation giving big promises, filling their pockets and leaving us with junk and higher costs in the end. We the people actually matter!

We don't need a wind farm. It will affect our water, wildlife, and lake use. We do not want lower property values or the outrageous noises they make.

I value the peace and serenity that I have living in this rural community. Wind turbines would take that away and they offer no benefits to this community. They are a scam.

We live in the country for the beautiful scenery and for the peacefulness. It takes away farm ground and it also causes habitat loss. These kinds of disturbance have very real consequences. There is no way that you can replace what would be lost. The wildlife and nature surrounding them are worth protecting. This project is not worth sacrificing our livelihood or those of the wildlife.

Put these turbines up north where the power will be used, it won’t be Shelby County. Prime farmland is scarce, i.e. non renewable. More negatives than positives at great cost to all affected.

I don’t want these wind farms in our community. Forget the questionable amount of energy they produce, the damage they cause far outweighs the benefit.

Do the research! There is nothing good about the wind farms. The negatively impact the environment, and actually cost more money in the long run

We don’t want this ugliness coming to our countryside

These are not dependable for generating useful amounts of energy, they destroy our beautiful farmland and are an eyesore! They also create waste that is almost impossible to destroy when they are done for!! Central Illinoisians don't want these nasty things near their homes, towns, or on their land!

We live in the area where this project is proposed. We do not want our family to deal with the negative side effects the wind turbines bring with them. We are also huge proponents of conservation and the research has shown how detrimental these turbines are to the land and wildlife.

I don’t believe industrial development belongs in the middle of valuable wildlife habitat. Our fields, timber, wetlands, and waterways are incredibly important to deer, waterfowl, birds, bats and other wildlife. Habitat loss and disturbance have real consequences, you can’t simply replace what’s been lost. Our wildlife and natural areas are worth protecting, and I don’t believe this project is worth sacrificing them.
