Wind farms are irresponsible and counterproductive to the green energy solution they are supposed to represent. They are a massive waste of money and are damaging to the environment.

Oh there are so many reasons that I am against putting up giant wind turbines. Of course there’s the fact that they are just ugly and detract from the beautiful countryside, as well as noisy, but primarily the effects on our wildlife and the long term environmental issues. The negative far outweighs the positive for me. I say no to wind turbines.

I am completely opposed to industrial wind farms in our county. This isn’t an issue where I’m waiting to hear the pros and cons—it’s a hard no for me.
Our farmland should remain farmland. I’d rather see investment in regenerative agriculture, livestock, diverse crops, and other ways to keep our land productive than turn our rural landscape into an industrial energy site.
I’m also deeply concerned about what happens decades from now when turbines reach the end of their life cycle!!

I am a land owner in both Shelby County and southern Macon County and do not want to see our farmland destroyed or our rural living become less desirable. Wind turbines impact not only farmland that feeds this world but also produce noise pollution for rural residents, destroy the visual aesthetics of rural living, and have high potential to create a hazard for in-flight wildlife especially considering proximity of this project to lakes and conservation areas. I vote “NO” to wind turbines!!!

Shelby County will not benefit from this in anyway. It will ruin farmland and kill too much wildlife.

Do not destroy farmland and a way of life by allowing wind turbines or solar. Why can't they use defunct industrial parks? I have seen plenty of these areas from here to the East coast. Don't take the farmland that is feeding the world.
