We live in an area where we have wind turbines and think they are terrible most of them leak oil all down the towers and a lot of them sit broken. We’ve been visiting your area for years and have purchased a piece of land to retire on was hoping to never see a wind turbine again especially in a beautiful area like Shelby county

This is not just a Shelby County fight but the whole state better fight because of the house bill HB 4412 that the governor put into play 2023.
Because of this, the whole state of Illinois is subject to wind mill farms because the counties have lost control! Pls write your state reps and tell them to fight for our state and get this bill reversed ASAP.
It's scary stuff. Just Google what UK is having to pay the windmill farms because of the grid. Do we really think they are looking out for

We can’t allow the short sighted, opportunistic corporations to determine the environment we want in our communities. The long term negative effects of wind turbines in our area will impact our wildlife, our farmland, and the general peace of our homes. The peace and beauty of our area is something to be cherished not exploited.

Turn the coal plants back on, China is building hundreds and more, and we are decommissioning ours and paying for it. Shelby county is a massive migration corridor, birds, insects etc, makes zero sense other than green corporate greed. And this goes completely against all of our habitat work. This include the tributaries, Flat branch, Robinson creek, the Lake.

Not interested at all and neither are my neighbors: Linea Energy profits from Foxglove primarily through federal tax credits, tax-equity sales, and leveraged project debt, instruments that exist because of public policy and public money, while long-term physical risks (decommissioning, road damage, drainage, land restoration) fall on Shelby County and local landowners if things go wrong

I am signing this petition AGAINST solar wind farms in Shelby County AND Southern Macon County. Please help us keep our peace & unobstructed views that are a part of our country living, and save our magnificent birds in this area.. eagles, falcons, herons, owls, to name a few.
There are plenty of wind farms in the Warrensburg, Forsyth and other areas in Northern Macon County. Please don’t destroy more land here farther south!!
