I know very well that when they are old and broken they will not get taken down and will be left up for another 20 or 40 years. I do not want to live in a wind turbine factory. I have seen bald eagles close to our home, and there are a number of other bird species around. Water flow above and below ground is a concern as is the subsoil environment. The noise, red lights at night, and obstruction of rural sky is problematic. We also have many people who have built homes on a few acres to enjoy country living, and they will likely see their homes resale value drop. Air quality, vibration.

I just bought a house out here in the country of Shelby county where this project is proposed…I bought this property because of the peaceful nature of our farmland all around us, and to raise a family on. I did not buy this property to stare at a large wind farm. Farmland is not a place for big companies to come in and take away for their own personal gain. This is Gods land…and this is our land. Leave it the way God intended it to be.

It disturbs the tranquility and beauty to supply cities far away and does not benefit the inhabitants here. Put solar panels and windmills on city roofs and buildings that collect energy for the people who live there. Do not destroy our homes and quality of life.

Selling out our beautiful land to brings these in makes no sense. Have we not learned from other communities who sold out and saw no gains only to ruin their county. Why would we want this when we have not seen any return on our electric rates and only increases?? Our elected officials need to represent those who put them in a position to be their voice. The people are shouting from the mountain tops to not do this!!!

We live in the country for the beautiful scenery and for the peacefulness. It takes away farm ground and it also causes habitat loss. These kinds of disturbance have very real consequences. There is no way that you can replace what would be lost. The wildlife and nature surrounding them are worth protecting. This project is not worth sacrificing our livelihood or those of the wildlife.

These are not dependable for generating useful amounts of energy, they destroy our beautiful farmland and are an eyesore! They also create waste that is almost impossible to destroy when they are done for!! Central Illinoisians don't want these nasty things near their homes, towns, or on their land!
