The in timing of 8:30 is way too early and we can't study in Library or LT block for larger duration because of this. We also can't go for jogging or walking in the evening.

See the thing is simple in my opinion. Every prestigious college has a reputation to maintain. Thapar being one of the highly prestige and amazing universities in india must have some strictness. But in my opinion the in time of 8 pm is far too strict. So if that's extended a bit to something like 10:30 or 11pm, it would be a really fine change to the university culture. Just like IITs which have no in time policy, I would really love to have it here

8:30 is too early for coming back many works are delayed for tomorrow and after because of timings we have class till 5:10 and sometimes after that also so dont have much time to get work done
