With classes continuing until 5:00 PM, students need time for domestic tasks, rest, dinner, and physical fitness. The current timing severely restricts our ability to maintain a regular gym routine and look after our mental well-being. Extending the hostel curfew to 10:30 PM allows us sufficient time to balance essential self-care with our academic commitments

Good morrow, honoured authorities.
We beseech thee to extend our hostel timings from eight-thirty unto ten-thirty in the evening. For at eight-thirty, the day is hardly done. Assignments remain, societies meet, projects await, and friendships yet flourish.
Shall the closing of a gate mark the closing of opportunity?
We seek not reckless freedom, but freedom with responsibility. Grant us these two additional hours, and trust us to use them wisely.
Let the gate remain a bou

we don't get much time to explore and enjoy the campus after 8.30 we have to manage many other activities and studies but with this time it impacts our extracurricular and disrupts our time to study most importantly the library which usually closes at 8 that really restricts the path to our studies
important part is that it restricts our freedom to enjoy, study, play sports, take part in societies, research

Because we want to have more flexible timings and we are all responsible adults. If someone does something wrong despite this, take action accordingly, but everyone should not suffer because of a few.

The present timing is too early and feels archaic to many of us, especially when student life, classes, group work, library study, lab work, and other campus commitments often continue well into the evening.

Evenings are a great time to take a walk around and it is too pressuring to run back to the hostel when it is very far too and the fact, visits to the libraries for studying also get interrupted because of this.
