Cruzteca is a vibrant part of the Sunset Valley community and beyond. While we reside in the City of Austin, Cruzteca is our choice for friends’ gatherings and family meals and celebrations. The food, service and staff are outstanding! The vision for the new location would make what is already a “family friendly “ atmosphere even more appealing. We wish Cruzteca all the best in their rezoning initiative.

We live Cruzteca and the people who run it. They treat us like family when we come. I graduated from Bowie with the owners (a long time ago!) and it just feels like a smaller community in this now big city.

As a family member, I’ve had the privilege of watching Cruzteca grow from its early Mellizoz days into the family business it is today. I would love to see them finally put down permanent roots in Sunset Valley. I believe 737 Oakdale would be a thoughtful, low-scale transition into Oakdale Street and a great opportunity to reimagine Sunset Valley in a way that supports local businesses while respecting the surrounding neighborhood.
