I’ve lived in Stafford since 1982. I’ve been retired for two years. I’ve steadily seen cost of living go up here. I’ve seemed amenities leave e.g movie theater and bowling alley just to mention.
The YMCA off Mountain View that materialized. Stafford County needs to use it current funds more responsibly.
When residents have to go to Fredericksburg and surrounding counties and spend our money instead of at home -then what is Stafford doing with the money??

I really think if Government didn't waste so much money, they wouldn't have to over tax their citizens. Clean up the government first, you'll find lots of money.

A recent news article talked about revenue increasing more than expected. One question I did not hear from our leaders was-"How much of this should we give back to the people who own it". We recently had a property tax increase. Now our leaders want a new tax to get more money for them to spend. How about we try something brand new- spend less.

This tax is far from business-friendly and forces me to re-evaluate if I want to keep my business in Stafford. It's interesting how a few months ago the BOS stated we need to obtain more business in Stafford, then a complete 360 and wanting to charge a tax to businesses on gross receipts. Who is coming up with these horrible ideas!!!

Stafford over taxes us. They can not keep to budget. Too many county e.ployee use county vehicles for personal use on and off the clock. If they can not manage the budget they pass with out new taxes, they should be replaced
