Instead of focusing on the smaller businesses with something like this greatly affecting them. Target the huge businesses that can afford it. Doing it on the GROSS instead of NET is the biggest issue. Maybe if you’d have done that it wouldn’t be such a burden. Are you going to give the money generated back to the businesses that lost money? Of course not. So stop pinching your voters.

As someone involved in the process of opening a business in Stafford County, we were already disappointed with the amount of red-tape and taxes that came with it. It is very difficult to keep our doors open as is, this tax could cause many small businesses who operate on slim margins to shut down.

Stafford claims to be business friendly , but this is another point where actions speak louder than words. Local businesses have already been hit with higher property taxes and tougher legislation on property rights. Let's keep the government out of our pockets.

It is ridiculous that our personal property taxes are as high as they are. This will further burden our money in Stafford especially with Tariffs in place, gas that is extremely high and food prices. We are all just struggling at present times like these and the last thing we need is more increases that will come out of our pockets.

Stafford bos has increased my property tax this year that my mortgage has gone up almost $100 a month. You cannot keep stealing my hard earned money that you steal with a strike off the pen… no hard work like mine!
