Stafford County is hurting small businesses and does nothing to bring us anything significant. We still have to travel to Woodbridge or Fredericksburg for more retail and restaurant options. We should not still be a bedroom community with the amount of people moving here.

Really! tax and spend? What is the county doing with the millions of dollars already received? It's hard to believe with the thousands of residents already paying property and real estate tax, as well as other fees, there is not enough money already being collected to do what needs to be done. Where is the money going? As you already, know, cost increases will ultimately be passed on to the residents of the County?

I’m a senior citizen on a fixed income. I’ve lived here 23 years. These taxes will hurt Stafford citizens more than they will help.

The county is spending too much money without anything to show for it. They continue to raise taxes. We already moved out of the county and now I am going to move my company.

I’ve watched Aquia Town Center die and now you want to make it more costly to do business in Stafford? I think the higher BPOL Tax is misguided.

It is already financially difficult today with increasing prices to run a business. If taxes are increased, it is honestly upsetting to come to a realization that businesses, specifically small businesses, will have no choice but to close.

I want Stafford to be business friendly. Pay expenses by enlarging the tax base—not penalizing existing taxpayers

I've seen so much increase in taxes these past few years, especially property and real estate tax, that it's getting ridiculous. The BPOL tax is another tax we don't need nor can afford. The county needs to be more responsible in spending our tax dollars.

We need to remember who votes for new taxes while gas prices are through the roof and federal employees are being run out of the government. It feels like our local elected officials are very much out of touch. Don’t forget to return the favor next election.

I am a small business owner and am 75 years old. My business is how I survive and barely in these times of inflation and collapse of the expected social contract. I need every penny and I bring tourist dollars to Stafford. They need to find a more equitable system. Tax the Rich. Stop giving away resources to awful data centers. Charge actual costs up front for new development. Stop subsidizing big business and support localneconomy

Stafford County needs to grow its economic base by attracting new businesses, not driving Stafford County residents to other places for food, groceries, and other necessities. By raising the taxes on our local businesses, the cost will be passed on to the consumers and make it more challenging for existing companies to stay in business due to lost revenue when residents go other places to buy goods. The county is small minded in how to generate revenue - raising taxes is not the answer.

We already pay high enough taxes. Bring Stafford more small businesses. Don’t discourage them by taxing them to death.
