This is money that currently is distributed for employee holiday bonuses. This isn’t just taking 1% from a business.

I have lived my entire 61 years in southern Stafford county and both sides of my family have lived in Stafford county for many generations. When is enough, enough? Whether you have been here forever or a new resident to the county this is not good for anyone in Stafford.

I'm tired of the continued hike in taxes. The board doesn't seem to care what the public thinks or wants. Their decision is already made.

If businesses have to pay a BPOL tax it will have to be passed on to the consumer and that is not the best interests of our community

Our county is becoming an anti-business zone. It’s too easy to continually raise taxes, Stafford County needs to stop giving away corporate taxes and dumping the shortfall on our small businesses and citizens.

Not only is this another tax, but it's also an unfair tax and a business deterrent.

The BPOL tax is simply an unfair tax! Taxing on gross receipts can easily put many businesses out of business, or force them to move to a locality with a more fair tax system. Stafford has done a superior job of encouraging new businesses to move to the county. This will absolutely prevent further growth! The tax shortage is brought on by the demands of the school system, yet the county continues to allow endless apartments to be built which brings in more and more students.
