BPOL would create such stress, especially on small business.

As a small family business owner we already pay enough in taxes. How about spending the money already collected wisely. We could all probably get some refunds then. Problem is, I have yet to see a tax a government official doesn't like. Nothing like spending other people's money.

A terrible burden on small businesses and restaurants. And don't get me started on all the many data centers planned for Stafford.

Property taxes have risen 56% in five years and our real-estate tax rate is now 11–23% higher than our neighbors (FXBG, PWC, Spotsy & Fauquier). Enough is enough! NYC 2.0

I am a small business owner of a small youth sports club in Stafford County. My goal goes beyond just providing an opportunity for youths in my community and my profit margins are narrow. This BPOL tax would be costly to my already small business.

Everything is expensive! And to add more is unacceptable, unfair, and ridiculous. I feel as though my own country is against me and don't want everyone to win.

This hurts businesses and increases costs to consumers. Keep this out of Stafford!

While our revenues are very high, many months we actually operate at a loss. This tax would likely destroy us and many other local businesses.

Increasing taxes at a time when many businesses are feeling strain from other expenses raising taxes is no good. Ultimately, consumers will have to pay more because businesses can’t absorb the tax so they pass it on.

I am a small business owner barely making the ends meet as is. I wish Stafford County would do something to support small businesses instead of trying to crush them with BPOL taxes.

As a local business owner, I strongly oppose the proposed BPOL tax. Stafford’s lack of a BPOL tax was a primary deciding factor when I chose to establish my business here. With residents and businesses already feeling the strain of rising property, meals, and local taxes, introducing a tax on gross revenue will stifle growth and drive new enterprises elsewhere. Protect small business and reject BPOL.

Will crush small medical offices. Retail can pass the increase. Medical offices can't since insurance companies determine amounts paid.

As the owner of a small business with no drive-up traffic and no environmental impact on the county, an increase in tax is unwarranted. I strongly oppose the Proposed BPOL Tax.

As a retired, widowed resident, I can not afford another tax burden and survive financially after rising medical care! The burden of more taxes is unsurvivable at this point!
