Our small business can’t handle any more tax increases because then our services have to go up in price. This needs to stop

The taxes here are INSANE!!! Stafford County has gotten so expensive, yet there’s so little for families to actually do. Between the taxes and the rising cost of living, we’re getting to the point where we can barely afford to live here anymore. We love our community, but how are regular families supposed to keep up?!

Small businesses already face more challenges than corporations and this bill would further tip the scale away from small businesses.

I moved to Stafford in 1994 when our supervisors had common sense. Now our irresponsible supervisors are out of control. They all need replaced. They do not represent their constituents. No more taxes!

Business strategy to add any more taxes will drive our customers cost will lessor sales and cause collapse in our local market . This tax is complete robbery to any business and total failure as priced have done nothing but climb since covid and foreign affairs. Totally opposed!!!!!!!

Living here has become completely unaffordable! Data centers get breaks and the citizens get screwed.

Stafford is killing small business and homeowners, and the inept board is 100% responsible.

Stafford has struggled to get business here. BPOL will chase away the few we have and scare away any new business. You couldn’t take a lesson from other counties near us that learned that hard lesson?!

They already pay property ( real estate and one of the few states that still tax personal property simply because it has wheels) and income taxes and bear the burden of collecting sales tax for the state. Now you want them to pay an additional tax based on gross sales (essentially a sales tax on the other side of the transaction—seller in addition to buyer). How about the administration getting smarter in stewarding the assets already collected?

It's time to pack up your shingle and move the business.

Stafford’s prices and all the new taxes, which are levied upon businesses and residents each years are ridiculous. The BoS really needs to start thinking about responsible spending and being good stewards of the taxpayer’s dollar.

We don’t need any additional taxes and honestly Stafford is becoming more and more undesirable to live and own a business.

Stafford needs to increase its tax base not its taxes or tax rates and/or property assessments. But then that means being creative and innovative to solve investment challenges and financial hurdles. The county leadership simply takes the easy way out.

Too many taxes. We pay taxes on money that was already taxed 50 times.

Higher taxes hurt everyone. We have inflation around 3.7% Between 2021 -2025, prices have increased more than 22% . We cannot afford more taxes.
