Taxes have been raised with every avenue. Creating new taxes is contrary to fostering an environment that’s conducive for business profits. Instead of raising and creating taxes. Perhaps a review of the budget to decrease spending. Stop seeking the easiest avenue

More taxes means we can’t afford to keep as many staff employed, which contributes to the unemployment rate. It’s a sad reality when new imposed taxes are assessed to local businesses.

Taxing based on revenue and not profit is a misleading ploy and causes financial hardship to those businesses that can least afford it. A short term financial tax gain for governnent with long term loss of that tax source and reduced business access for our residents.

This is an evil tax. My dad paid it in Arlington for many years. I saw how evil close up. Margins are too tight to be taking this tax off the top. Stafford County needs to be business friendly and help business prosper. Stafford don't kill business help them prosper. This county is a microcosm of Virginia. The new governor chased Boeing out of the state and in doing so she chased out $8 billion in taxable revenue. Socialism does this to the state and will do the same to this county.

Small businesses struggle as it is with trying to compete with larger corporate businesses, high rent and retaining employees on high enough salaries to compete. Increasing their tax will kill small businesses. Please do NOT pass extra taxes for small businesses!

Businesses should be taxed in profit not on gross sales. Paying on gross income with high taxes robs people and businesses of the opportunity for success by keeping them in a negative position. Be businesses start off in the red door the first year or two in most cases. We want more small business and middle class. This will negatively impact that group more than "big business". Think of our farmers and crafters that operate as well.
